1940s weekend:
reenactor applications

For this year’s 1940s Weekend (Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July), we’re seeking applications from knowledgeable and enthusiastic people to join us, either as historic reenactors or as stallholders in our vintage market.

As it’s the anniversary of the D-Day Landings, we’re especially interested in stories that highlight local industries’ contributions to the war effort as well as the large number of forces from overseas who may have been based in the UK in the lead up, including American, Caribbean, Polish and Indian, among many others. Traders who sell vintage goods or items inspired by the 1940s are also invited to apply.

Please find below two survey links – one for reenactor groups and one for traders. Please fill in all of the relevant fields in the appropriate form so we can best assess your application. Please note that applications received after this date may not be considered for selection.

If you have any queries or questions relating to the application process for this event or have access needs that mean you need assistance with the survey, please get in touch with us via email: [email protected].

The deadline for completing the survey is midday, Monday 19 February. We will get back to you to confirm attendance by Friday 23 February.
