Jubilee Character features on National News

As part of the Museum’s Bostin’ Jubilee Bash activities, we’re celebrating migration, exploring the stories of those who moved to the Black Country ahead of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953. One of our Jubilee characters – Mr Singh – is based in part on the memories of a Mr Piara Singh, who migrated to the region in 1951 aged just 18 years old.

The Museum’s development of Mr Singh’s character was recently featured on Channel 5 national news. The piece includes appearances from one of our team of historic characters who will be portraying Mr Singh, our Director of Programmes and Mr Singh himself.
