Black Country Living Museum

Awlroight, ow' bist?

Experience the Black Country of yesteryear as you explore over 250 years of history, from the Industrial Revolution to post-war prosperity, through living interpretation at Black Country Living Museum in Dudley in the West Midlands.

Mind yer’ head as you go underground in a drift mine, get your toes tapping to 1950s vinyl and watch clay fly at Cricket Field Brickworks. Or perhaps take part in an Edwardian school lesson – but be careful not to get the cane, bab!

Discover our new shops

Step into the 1940s, 50s and 60s and experience the hustle and bustle of our new high street. Meet new historic characters, try on replica military clothing, and don’t forget to listen to the Talking Clock or ‘Dial-a-Disc’ in our beautiful 1960s telephone boxes.
