Key Stage 1: Houses & Homes
As part of your visit you will investigate a range of different houses and homes and discover the lifestyles of the people who lived there. This will include finding out about the different features of buildings and studying different household objects from the past comparing them to today.
To explore different types of houses from history.
To examine different features of houses.
To experience and compare how different life was for the rich and poor.
To compare and contrast houses from the past to houses today.
Key Stage 1: Toys Past and Present
On this trail, you investigate, alongside a Historic Character, the toys belonging to children who lived in our houses from 1880-1940.
Also, take part in ‘street games’ and discover other traditional pastimes from the Black Country.
Key Stage 1: Transport Through the Ages
With this trail, the children will have the opportunity to explore how transport has developed through the ages, from horse drawn vehicles to the motor car. They will also have an opportunity to see our nationally recognised transport collection.
