The Bitter Lemons

Boppin’ and strollin’ out of Birmingham, The Bitter Lemons bring a blend of classic rockabilly infused rock n roll , with a heavy splash of anecdotal original songs.

Squeeze the juice out of Janis Martin, a zest of The Ventures, the rind of Heavy Trash and finally the seed from Shannon & The Clams and you arrive at the ice cooler cocktail recipe of The Bitter Lemons!

Joe James Thomas

Joe James Thomas from the Black Country. 24-year-old musician specialising in vintage Rock N Roll and Rhythm N Blues, performing on the guitar and piano.

Recently featured on ‘The Piano’ Channel 4 in 2023, playing a Jerry Lee Lewis classic for passersby at Birmingham New Street Station. Travelling all over for 1940’s and 50’s events like The Severn Valley Railway and RAF COSFORD. Part of the long running theatre show ‘A Black Country Night Out’ and has been recently involved in a pantomime production.

The Washboard Resonators

The Washboard Resonators play the street blues and jazz of the 1930s and 40s that influenced the British skiffle movement of the 1950s.

With the help of a dep washboarder you can expect rollicking good tunes that were huge in the 1950s like Wreck of the Old 97, Sweet Georgia Brown and Shake Rattle and Roll.
