Whether you remember the decade first-hand or are discovering it for the very first time, the 1960s Weekend offers a unique, feel‑good day out filled with hands‑on activities, engaging storytelling and unforgettable photo opportunities, all set against the authentic backdrop of the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year 2025.

    Meet the Characters

    From sharp‑suited Mods and leather‑clad Rockers to domestic families, young trend‑setters and passionate protestors, you’ll encounter people from all walks of life as they lived, worked and spoke their minds during a time of rapid change.

    Through lively conversations and personal stories, experience a fascinating glimpse into the everyday lives, tensions and triumphs of the Sixties.

  2. 60S Visitors Kids

    Activities

    Get hands‑on with history and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and stories of the decade with new things to do around every corner.

    • Step into a recreated 1960s school lesson at St James' School
    • Take part in a lively protest, discovering why people took to the streets to make their voices heard. 
    • Switch from defiance to delight as you celebrate England’s 1966 World Cup win, reliving the excitement, pride and shared joy that united the nation.
    • Gather around the television in our 1960s Cast Iron House as mankind took its historic first steps beyond Earth and watch watch the moon landing just as families would have done in 1969.
    • Out on the streets, younger visitors (and the young at heart) can join in with traditional street games, bringing everyday Sixties childhood back to life with laughter and friendly competition.
