Discover Black Country Engineering

Explore displays of vehicles manufactured in the West Midlands, featuring world renowned marques such as Bean, Clyno, Guy, Sunbeam and AJS.

The Museum is home to the largest collection of Black Country manufactured vehicles in the world, including buses, motorbikes and cars.

Recent highlights include:

• A replica Midland Counties dairy milk cart, lovingly built by Museum craftsmen, volunteers and staff

• A 1959 DKR Defiant scooter, a British challenger to Italian giants like Vespa and Lambretta

All vehicles can be seen on display throughout the Museum’s historic town.

Cavalcade of Vehicles – 1.30pm

Don’t miss this impressive procession of historic vehicles as they take to the streets of the Museum's town.

Power the Past and Drive the Future

We’re restoring and extending our historic electric trolleybus network, but we need your help!

By donating, you’ll help get three locally built trolleybuses back on the road - preserving Black Country motoring history, creating an unforgettable experience, and bringing back a cleaner form of transport the Black Country knew well in the 1950s.

Thanks to a £272,000 award from the DCMS/Wolfson Museums & Galleries Improvement Fund, we are now in a strong position to deliver the project and are seeking to raise a final £120,000 by March 2027.
