😱 The Scare Maze
For brave families, Lenches & Folkes Park transforms into a full scare maze with actors, atmospheric lighting and creepy surprises around every corner.

🐾 Animal encounters
At St James' School, enjoy short animal shows running throughout the evening - perfect for little ones who love creatures great and small.

🕯️ Historic hauntings
Jerushah Green and the surrounding cottages host ghostly characters telling stories and bringing the Museum’s haunted folklore to life.

🎶 Have a Boo‑gie
The Workers' Institute hosts a disco where young ghouls can dance the night away under spooky lights and Halloween tunes, and the front office hosts a capture booth, the perfect spot for families to capture their creepiest, silliest and most fang‑tastic photos of the night.

This Halloween, Black Country Living Museum transforms into a spooky, historic world where families can wander the cobbled streets, knock on old‑fashioned doors and collect treats from our costumed characters.

Halloween Nights runs from 6:30pm until 10:00pm.

Yes, parking is available and costs £3.95 per vehicle. BCLM Members and Blue Badge holders park for free, subject to availability. Please purchase your parking token at the Visitor Centre before leaving.

Yes! Halloween Nights is designed as a family-friendly event, with trick-or-treating, entertainment, animal encounters, a disco and interactive activities throughout the site.

Families can explore the Museum's historic streets, visit selected locations and collect treats from costumed characters in a safe and unique Halloween setting.

The Scare Maze features live actors, atmospheric lighting and spooky surprises. It is designed for brave families and may not be suitable for younger children or those who dislike jump scares.

Visitors can enjoy short animal encounters and shows throughout the evening at St James' School.

Yes! Ghostly characters will be roaming parts of the Museum, including Jerushah Green and the surrounding cottages, bringing local folklore and spooky tales to life.

Absolutely. Fancy dress is encouraged for visitors of all ages.

For everyone's safety, realistic-looking imitation weapons, toy guns, replica weapons and props are not permitted.

Any item deemed unsuitable by our admissions team may be confiscated on arrival and returned at the end of your visit.

The Museum strives to be as accessible as possible. However, as a historic heritage site:

  • Some surfaces are uneven

  • There will be low and atmospheric lighting in certain areas

  • Access may vary across different historic buildings

Visitors are encouraged to review the Museum's access information before their visit.

Yes, visitors are welcome to take photographs for their personal use.

Please be respectful of other guests and note that close-up photography of other visitors without their permission is not permitted.

Yes. Official Museum photographers and videographers may be capturing content during the event for future marketing purposes and will be identifiable.

Our events are designed to operate in a range of weather conditions, and the museum has several indoor spaces where activities are programmed. However, in extreme weather cases the safety and enjoyment of our guests is our priority. If MET Office weather warnings are issued which result in weather that may affect the event, we will assess the situation and communicate any changes as soon as possible via email and our social media channels. We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather conditions on the day.

Halloween Nights is designed to be fun and spooky rather than frightening. While there are some scares and atmospheric experiences, there are also plenty of family-friendly activities suitable for younger visitors.
