The year is 1928
For years, the people of the village have suffered under the iron grip of one man. As both landlord and employer, he controls their homes, their livelihoods and their futures. Feared by many. Resented by all. His power reaches into every corner of the community.
Tonight, enough is enough.
Under the cover of darkness, villagers gather in secret. For the first time, the community is uniting with a single purpose: to end this tyranny.
But before the night's plans can unfold, a mysterious death sends shockwaves through the village.
Suddenly, everyone seems to have something to hide.
Rumours circulate. Old loyalties are tested. Long-held grudges resurface.
As guests at Black Country Living Museum's first-ever immersive murder mystery event, you won't simply witness the story – you'll become part of it.
Take your place amongst the villagers and join the hunt for the truth.
Hidden clues lie scattered throughout the streets, homes and workplaces of the Black Country village. Carefully concealed secrets are waiting to be revealed. You'll need your wits about you to unearth clues and piece together fragments of a story that someone is determined to keep buried.
A chance conversation might reveal a hidden motive. An overlooked detail could expose a dangerous lie. The deeper you dig, the more the village begins to reveal its darkest secrets.
As the night unfolds, you'll delve deeper into a web of secrets, betrayals and simmering resentments.
Some villagers will help you. Others will mislead you. And somewhere amongst them lies the key to what really happened.
