Santa Hunts

We operate a policy of 2 adults per child so that the Santa Hunts experience can remain feeling magical for the children and they can see all of the Christmassy characters on the hunt!

We have step-free access and/or ramps at all of the stops for wheel-chair accessibility. Please note there are uneven surfaces across the museum that we will travel across.

Please see our access page for more information about access at the museum.

Your Santa Hunts ticket includes access to the Museum for the full day of your hunt. You are free to explore the site across the day – just make sure you don’t miss your meeting time for the hunt to begin! Late comers will miss the experience!

Every child with a booked ticket will also receive a gift from Santa and there may even be another small memento included that you receive on your journey that you can take home.

Any child over 6 months will need their own ticket and will receive an age-appropriate gift at the end of the hunt.

Whilst there will be some similarities, there will be new characters to help, new activities to take part in and new gifts to receive! This year, it's all about helping our Elf to complete Santa's magic nap time story, finding Santa's grotto and delivering the story to him so that he can get all the rest he needs before Christmas Eve!

The hunt will involve walking from stop to stop around the entire site so a good majority of the time on the hunt will be outside – please wrap up warm!

The hunt will last approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Although we design a route that does not exclude excessive stair-use, there can be some small steps to get in and out of some of the stops on the way. Pushchairs can be tricky to get in and out of buildings and so we recommend if possible that you leave them in the car and collect them after you’ve completed your hunt.

Please refer to your pre-visit email for your meeting point. This should arrive at least the day before your Santa Hunt experience. Please give our team a call on 0121 520 8054 if you have not received your pre-visit email on the day of your experience.

Please leave plenty of time to arrive, go through our admissions process and have time to get to your meeting point for your allocated start time. If you are running late, please make yourself known to the staff in our admissions area when you arrive who will advise of next steps. Latecomers will miss the experience!

The discounted price will not show until after you have selected your chosen date and gone to checkout. Please give our team a call on 0121 520 8054 if you are having any issues.

As part of your Santa Hunts experience, all children with a booked ticket will receive an age-appropriate present as part of their experience.

We are unable to offer age-appropriate gifts to children under the age of 6 months, or those without a booked ticket.
