Kicking off a beautiful friendship – West Bromwich Albion…
20th May 2025
Iconic Black Country football club West Bromwich Albion (WBA) have joined forces with the award-winning Black Country Living Museum (BCLM) in a new business partnership.
The Museum’s scheme engages local and national businesses in supporting the organisation’s charitable aims, allowing the attraction to fulfil their mission to champion the Black Country, celebrate its people and communities, and share its distinctive history. The scheme offers businesses a range of benefits as part of the package, including tickets and venue hire opportunities.
This partnership will be the first time the Museum has partnered with a sports club, and it couldn’t be a more perfect duo. Both the museum’s collections and stories, and the foundations of the football club, are deeply rooted in the hard-graft spirit and working-class roots of the Black Country. Both organisations embody a passionate community spirit and outlook, with a shared objective to support the communities of today and the future in the region.
Tomasz Chadwick, Head of Commercial at WBA, said: “we’re delighted to partner with the Black Country Living Museum – a museum that celebrates the regions’ industrial roots. The museum provides a fascinating insight into the past but continues to reach and educate younger generations each year. While we have ambitions to continue to grow our brand, the Black Country remains a key focus. Our local business scheme ‘The Executive Club’ and our partnership with the Black Country Living Museum are evidence of that sustained commitment to our local community.”
David Middlemiss, Deputy Chief Executive (Business Development), said: “as a truly iconic name in Black Country sport, we’re delighted to have West Bromwich Albion aboard as a museum business partner. The club’s story is intrinsically linked with over 100 years of Black Country history, so it makes perfect sense that our missions to champion that history come together in this latest partnership. We are thrilled that the club is officially the first sports team to join us, and we look forward to welcoming more local clubs from across the region as partners in the future.”
