Dudley Zoo and Castle

Dudley Zoo and Castle has been welcoming visitors since 1937 and is home to some of the world’s rarest and most exotic animals.

It is also home to Dudley’s very own 11th-century castle, which was first mentioned in the Domesday book in 1086 and the worlds largest collection of Tecton buildings.

Dudley Canal and Caverns

Visit Dudley Canal and Caverns and discover the art of legging as you explore the network of Dudley’s underground canals.

Canals

Dudley borough has three main canals (Dudley No 1, Dudley No 2 and Stourbridge) with a number of smaller arms and extensions (Stourbridge Arm, Lapal Canal, Fens Branch).

The canal network today attracts boat visitors, walkers, cyclists, anglers, wildlife enthusiasts and lovers of beautiful countryside.

Merry Hill has over 240 retailers, over 50 different places to eat, an Odeon cinema, and 7,200 parking spaces.

Dudley’s four town centres – Brierley Hill, Dudley, Halesowen and Stourbridge – all have high streets with a variety of shops.

Stourbridge Glass Quarter is world renowned for over 400 years of glassmaking craftsmanship and heritage. Visitors have the opportunity to buy both traditional cut glass and contemporary studio glass.
