The most iconic backdrop is Charlie's Yard, which has featured in all six series of the show. Featured in the very first episode, this location was soon established as one of the key backdrops to the gritty drama. In reality this is the Museum's boat dock and anchor forge, brimming with history of industry of the region.
The canal towpath has seen several tense moments, providing a drop-off point for characters visiting the Yard.
Canal street bridge became a pivotal place as the secret spot for Freddie and Ada to meet, way back in season one.
The Museum's forges and metalworking shops have seen drama too, from gatherings of the gang to dramatic shootings.
