Members can look forward to a welcoming introduction for new members, an atmospheric exploration of ghostly Black Country folklore, and our annual festive Christmas Pub Quiz.

 

Whether you're keen to learn something new, uncover hidden storied or meet fellow members, there's something to enjoy throughout the year.

    Step into the mysterious past of the Black Country as we explore local legends, superstitions, and ghostly folklore. This tour brings to life eerie tales linked to canals, mines and cottages, where stories of hauntings have been passed down through generations. Expect atmospheric storytelling that reveals how fear, belief, and imagination shaped everyday life in the past.

    Tis the season for a jolly good pub quiz at our Elephant & Castle Pub! 

    Firstly, our Researchers will transport you back in time as they share fascinating stories about Black Country Christmas traditions of the past. Then go head-to-head in a pub quiz - our members’ quiz night promises a lively atmosphere perfect for showing off your Black Country knowledge.

    Between the cheerful décor, themed refreshments and Black Country trivia, you’re sure to leave filled with good tidings and cheer!
